I’d always had a fascination with cars and working on them. I’ve always liked electronics.
In Year 10 I originally wanted to become a spray painter and panel-beater, but because I broke my arm just before the school holidays I couldn’t start the apprenticeship and it went to someone else. In hindsight that was very lucky!
I managed to get some work as an auto electrician and when I finished Year 11 I started my apprenticeship.
Fixing electrical problems, chasing a short and diagnosing faults other people can’t. I get extreme satisfaction from that. You can’t just tape up a loom and conduit it and say ‘she’ll be right’ because you need knowledge of the whole system to make sure it works properly.
Four-wheel driving, which includes navigation courses. I marshal at events such as the 4×4 Outback Challenge and crew for friends at 4WD competitions. Apart from that I’m always working! I find it quite easy to take time out to go for my 4WD hobbies and 4WD activities are often part of my holidays as well.
Still with my successful business. I’d like to be able to have two weeks away from the business and have staff working for me, even a month off with an income still coming in the door would be fantastic.
With over 20 years of experience under our tool belts, you can rest assured that we’re fully qualified and licensed for everything we do.
